I'm used to the the rolling hills and trees of New England. When I traveled through the west in the 1970s I was amazed at the vastness of some of the areas out west. I didn't take notes about the photos I took on our cross county trek but I'm guessing these were taken in either Montana or Wyoming. If you don't like crowds it doesn't getting better than this.
