Singapore 1970 with Kodachrome 25

Image
In 1970 I was a sailor on the USS Bon Homme Richard. One of our ports of call was Singapore. I took a few photos with my favorite film of all time, Kodachrome 25. It is a very slow, fine grained film and the colors have lasted for all these years. Sadly many of the shots I made with  Ektachrome have not fared very well. At the time I foolishly thought they were interchangeable. I used a Nikkormat fitted with a 50mm Nikkor f1.4 lens. Judging by the DOF, the lens was wide open.

Repetition

Image
My daughter participates in the " Run to Home Base " race which raises funds to help wounded service members and veterans suffering with combat stress and traumatic brain injury. We attended to cheer her on The charity event is sponsored by the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Base Program . It offers the opportunity to walk the field at Fenway Park. I photographed some of the empty seats which suggested a theme of repetition.

Alstromeria "Inca Ice"

Image
I purchased this Alstromeria because it was rated for zone 5. However I am now a bit nervous after a few hard freezes. I'm wondering if I should dig it up and pack in peat moss.

Buster

Buster is very nasty to our female cat Paris, but he is gentle with humans. Meowing takes too much effort so he tends to grunt, causing me to call him "Sir Grunts-A-Lot".
